Weapon : 30mm Automatic Gun 2A42 usually mounted on Infantry Combat Vehicle Bmp-II
End Use : High Explosive Incendiary Shell (HE/I) is used against man power and non-armoured ground and Ariel targets.
It is a fixed type & intended for use against light armored targets, soft skinned targets and against personnel at ranges up to 4000 meters. ? It is also used against aircraft flying at low altitude up to 2000 meters. ? Gun 2A42 through which this ammunition is fired is designed for single shot firing as well as automatic firing both at rapid and slow rates. ? Gun 2A42 has double belt feed system. One belt with an AP/T and the other with both HE/I and HE/T rounds generally in the ratio 4:1.
